Traps Night inside clouds that fly
Sunshine twists and bursts ‘round her
Undulate like selkie fur
With smooth skin dark as the mud
After a river-bank flood
Warm like honey, golden eyes
Brighter than the daytime skies
Watching, smoothly freeing prey
Leading them ne’er astray
Angel of sunshine and life
Vanishing everyone’s strife
Courier of day itself
Walks softer than any elf
Seeing flowers as they grow
As they bloom in orange and rose
Goddess of the endless river
On her back a brimming quiver
Ever watching never ending
To the wild, ever tending
